Alpha Ophiuchi (α Ophiuchi, abbreviated Alpha Oph, α Oph), also named Rasalhague , is a binary star and the brightest star in the constellation of Ophiuchus. Five degrees west-north-west of Rasalhague lies Rasalgethi, the 5th brightest star in the nearby constellation Hercules. These stars may be among the closest-lying pair of alpha stars in the entire sky.
