Matsutake (Japanese: ζΎθΈ/γγγΏγ±), Tricholoma matsutake, is a species of mushroom, with a cap that can reach up to 35 centimetres (14 in) wide. It resembles at least one poisonous species. Growing in Eurasia and North America, it is a mycorrhizal species. It is a choice edible mushroom prized in Japanese cuisine for its distinct aroma.
